After about 1 1/2 years of living in our new (1933) home, we are finally starting to remodel. We are starting with the parlor.
Here it is as it was when we moved in. It does not look bad but, in reality, the carpet is probably many decades old and needs to go. On top of that, we know there is hardwood in the original sections of the house. So, off with the carpet.

and termite damage.
I am doubtful that I am going to find a match for the wallpaper so that will need to be dealt with as well.
At least I have a good helper!
